Well Hey Thar!

Yes, I said I was going to retire this, but it seems some people are still linked to it, checking it out, whatever. So I guess I will update if there is anything worth updating about. Plus I was looking at this blog and it's just so purrrdy. =p

As you may know, Antcomics went on a rather long hiatus, from October '08 to December '10. Yeah, I know, right? More than two years! Well, I had kind of a "down time" for those two years, wasn't working on much of anything. My two main comics, The Ants and the Compozerz, took a back seat to life for awhile, you might say.

I was jazzed to get back to the Ants, though, and once I began drawing those guys I realized how much fun the Antcomics were to do. I realized how much I really missed them. A lot of other people did too, I found out--how many surprised me. You know, it may sound egotistical or whatever, but I sometimes Google Antcomics (and my other comics) to see if anyone's been buzzin' about them anywhere. Surprisingly, I found that several people actually were, in forums and what not. Once forum had a little thread about them and they were all pretty upset that I just up and quit on the Antcomics. So yeah, flattering surprise there, ya might say.

Anyhow, to the important stuff!

Yes, the Ants are back, at the moment they are going to be a once a week thing. I usually update toward the end of the week, but I never set any particular day of the week in stone, cause you know...I do have a life outside of the comics (believe it or not!)

When I left off in October '08, I was in the middle of a big story arc, "Battle of the Bands." The story was a spin off of "Bowling," a previous story arc. If you haven't read Bowling, I'd recommend you do, otherwise you may get a little lost.

"Bowling" starts here, "Battle" starts here, just to give you some handy-dandy links. In between those are a couple of strips where Marco and Iris go out on a date, you can read them if you want but they aren't too relevant to the story. Sort of an "intermission, I guess.

Now, these are hosted at DrunkDuck, which recently had some problems. The site basically crashed, and the folks at DD scrambled to fix it back up. It's behaving better now, I think they just about got the bugs worked out of it. All comics posted on or after January 14th were wiped out, though. Fear not, O Anty ones, I have re-uploaded all the lost pages, so the Antcomics are there in their entirety as of this writing.

However, I do have a back up, should anything squirrely ever happen again at DD: DeviantArt. All of my comics are posted there. The Ants have their own gallery there too, right here. So no one should ever have to suffer Ant Withdrawal. Hopefully.

After this current story arc, I plan on slowing down on (but not quitting! I swear!) the Antcomics for a bit. I may not be updating every week, in other words. Don't worry, I won't be abandoning them totally. I am going to be starting another comic project of epic proportions, though, so I'll post a link to that as soon as I get the ball rollin' on it. You may or may not be interested, but eh, I'll post a link anyway.

So there you have it, folks. I'll try and keep you up to speed on Ant happenings a little better in the future.
